Let's Stay In Touch:

Once again this summer the Community Gallery @ BDG will be featured for the months of July and August at Blue Door Gallery in Yonkers. The artwork illustrates expressions of common cultural, historical, social, or geographical characteristics among young and old such as ancestry, heritage, family bonds, interaction, collaboration, communion, change and growth. The artists have shared their interpretations of Generations.

This was an eight-week long exhibition which was held in conjunction with a series of workshops dedicated to fostering the bonds and creativity of young people and their significant adults. The workshop expressions will be in the forms of poetry, dance, drawing, painting, clay, crafts, music, and performance. To inspire our workshop participants we will exhibit in a portion of the gallery the work of professional artists whose art considers the interaction of generations.
